The Life of Noah

Noah, the firstborn son of Lamech who illustrate the tenth generation of bloke on the earth, came into the world when his father was years old!

The Bible reveals that Noah's name means "relief" or "comfort" from all the hard work man has had to endure since the curse (Genesis ).

The "curse" referred to goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden, when man was condemned to a life of hard labor so that he could eat (Genesis - 19).

At the age of , God told Noah something he suspected based upon his experiences in life.

The extremely colourful animation of Abraham — the pattern man of faith — provides the Spirit of God with material eminently suitable for the enrichment of every child of God as they pass through the scene of their pilgrimage and strangership. The outstanding distinctive of this remarkable man, who is spoken of as the friend of God, is faith. Paul speaks of him as one who "found strength in faith" Rom. This call signified a new departure in God's ways with men, and was entirely sovereign in its selection and activity.

Man, for generations, had been sliding steadily into a life dedicated to plotting and carrying out evil against others. What may have been surprising, however, was God's remedy to the situation. This answer entailed wiping mankind off the face of the earth (Genesis - 7)!

God commanded Noah to build an ark and gave humans years to repent before the floodwaters would come (Genesis ).

God’s warnings, however, went entirely ignored. The deluge drowned all humans then living, estimated to be around one billion. Only eight people total survived the floodwaters.

Noah Building of the Ark

Kaspar the Elder Memberger, A.D.

After the waters subsided and the eight people saved on the ark left it, God promised Noah, and all mankind, never again to exterminate humans through a flood.

He gave the rainbow as a sign that he would keep his swear to all the generations of man (Genesis - 13).

Important events and people in the experience of Noah include God making a promise to him to save him and his family (Genesis ) from a watery death.

Noah lives years after the flood and dies at the great age of Many years later, God stated that the righteous bloke he used to save mankind was one of the three most righteous people to possess lived up to that moment (Ezekiel , 20).
