Jessica Lowndes (; born November 8, )[1] is a Canadian actress, singer, and songwriter. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Lowndes began her acting career at a little age, appearing in various television shows and films before landing her breakout role as drug-addicted teen Adrianna Tate-Duncan on The CW TV series Originally written as a 3-episode arc, the character became a series regular on for five seasons.

Beyond acting, Lowndes has expanded her career into show, having executive produced eight projects, two of which she has written the scripts and tune for, as well as starred in.

Lowndes is also a musician.

She has self-released over 30 original songs and her single, Silicone in Stereo reached #11 on the Billboard charts in both the U.S. and Canada.

Lowndes starred alongside Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig in the Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption () and was the female lead in the behavior film The Prince () , acting alongside Bruce Willis and John Cusack.

In the past few years she has starred in over 15 projects with Lifetime Channel, Hallmark Channel, GAF and Tubi, many of which included original songs she wrote and performed for the projects. She wrote the original screenplay for Hallmark’s Over the Rock in Love and co-wrote/performed the hit song “Paradise” for the film which hit #1 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts.

She also starred in the film Mix Upin the Mediterranean for Hallmark Channel. Her duet “Alive,” which she performed with her co-star Jeremy Jordan for the production, was in the top 15 on iTunes.

Lowndes both wrote and starred in Harmony from the Heart for GAF and Hulu, alongside Jesse Metcalfe.

Additionally, she wrote and produced the film's original song "," which reached #3 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.

Early life

Lowndes was born in in Vancouver, British Columbia[1] and attended Pacific Academy in Surrey.[2]

Lowndes has stated that she knew from an prior age that she had a passion for singing and acting.[3] Lowndes also produced much of her own music from an early age.

During the summer before her senior year of high school, Lowndes worked on a project for Showtime.[4] With encouragement from her parents, Lowndes moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16 and began her career.

Acting

Lowndes made her acting debut on the television film Saving Milly as Andrea Kondracke at the age of This was followed by a guest role on an episode of Masters of Horror; she was later cast as Becky, a recurring role in the sitcom Alice, I Think.

She also made a guest appearance on Kyle XY. Her next film role was a supporting role in the Lifetime feature To Have and to Hold released in , followed by a pilot called Pretty/Handsome in —which did not get picked up.

In , Lowndes appeared in Autopsy and The Haunting of Molly Hartley along with another recurring role, this time as Mandi, in the television drama series Greek. She also landed a recurring role as Adrianna Tate-Duncan in the series , a spin-off of the '90s teen drama series Beverly Hills, .

In November , her role was upgraded to series regular.

Lowndes starred in the Canadian horror film Altitude in BuddyTV ranked her #58 on its TV's Sexiest Women of list.[5] In April , she starred in The Devil's Carnival, a short musical film screened on tour.

Lowndes made her musical debut in the pilot episode of TV series singing "Mama Who Bore Me" from Spring Awakening in the school's musical, in the episode "Women's Intuition".

In the episode "What's Past is Prologue", Lowndes sang "Jolene" for a rock band audition. She also sang a few other songs as the lead female vocalist on 's "The Glorious Steinem"'s band.

Lowndes also performed One More Time (feat.

Diego Boneta) in the episode "Meet the Parent".

Lowndes both wrote and starred in "Harmony From The Heart," for GAF and Hulu, alongside Jesse Metcalfe. Additionally, she wrote and produced the film's popular original tune "," which soared to #3 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.

During season 4 of , her single "Fool" was featured and sung by her ethics in the episode "Benefit of the Doubt".[7] In the episode "Bride And Prejudice", her lyric "Teardrops Fall" was featured. "I Don't Want You Anymore" was featured in the episode "Tis Pity".

During season 5, her next single "Snake Charmer" was featured in the episode "Into The Wild" and sung by her in "99 Problems". The Devil's Carnival soundtrack also features a ballad titled In All My Dreams I Drown performed by Lowndes and released on April 3, [21]

On May 14, , her single The Other Girl premiered on [22] The single was released on iTunes on May 16, [23] On February 6, , Lowndes announced that she would release her self-written second EP titled TBT (Throwback Thursday) on March 14, ,[24] along with one track off it every Thursdays for four weeks.[25] On February 7, , Aperture Entertainment released Fly Away as the lead single from her EP.[26][27]

On September 9, , Lowndes released her single Silicone in Stereo.[28] The official music video premiered on September 6, , both on YouTube and Vevo.

The song peaked at number 35 on Billboard Canada's Uppermost 50 and number 65 on the US Top
