Vets in Practice is a BBCfly-on-the-wall documentary series that followed a group of trainee veterinary surgeons.

9 of the Most Famous Female Veterinarians of All Time: Emma Milne grew up in Kent, Medway Towns, just outside of London, England. Like many people who turn into veterinarians, Emma knew she wanted to pursue this career since the early age of 6. Obsessed with animals, she fervently consumed all the veterinary and nature programs on the television.

The first episode, Animal Magic, aired at 8&#;pm on 26 August [1] Series one attracted &#;million viewers (39 per cent audience share).[2] It made celebrities of Trude Mostue and Steve Leonard, who became TV presenters.

Filming took place at various locations in England and Wales, including Longleat Safari Park, as well as veterinary practices in Kenya, Botswana, Turkey, and the Bahamas.

In , it won Most Popular Documentary Series at the National Television Awards.[3]
